Service Policies
To ensure safe, efficient, and professional service for all patients, we ask that clients review the following policies before scheduling an appointment.
Our Commitment
Our goal is to provide a safe, efficient, and comfortable experience for every patient while ensuring the safety of our healthcare professionals.
If you have questions about our service policies, please contact our team before your appointment.
-
Travel Service Fee
As a mobile service provider, Gifted Hands Mobile Phlebotomy Service LLC travels directly to your home, workplace, or care facility to provide convenient, professional specimen collection.
A $25 travel service fee is included in the standard mobile blood draw fee and is not charged separately. This fee helps cover:
Travel time to and from your location
Transportation expenses
Mobile equipment and supplies
Specimen handling and transportation logistics
No separate travel fee will be added to your standard blood draw appointment. Your total service cost will be clearly communicated during scheduling so you know what to expect before your appointment.
Please note that mobile phlebotomy service fees are separate from laboratory testing fees. Gifted Hands does not bill insurance directly for mobile collection services.
-
Pet Policy
We understand that pets are an important part of many households. However, for the safety of our staff and to maintain a sterile environment during specimen collection, we require that all pets be secured in a separate room or properly restrained during the appointment.
Please ensure that:
Pets are kept away from the collection area
Dogs are secured or kenneled if necessary
The environment is calm and safe for the phlebotomist to work
If a pet poses a safety concern or interferes with the procedure, our phlebotomist may need to reschedule the appointment, and applicable service fees may still apply.
-
Because our services involve travel and reserved appointment times, we kindly ask that clients provide at least 24 hours notice if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee.
If our phlebotomist arrives at the scheduled location and the patient is unavailable, refuses service, or the appointment cannot be completed due to circumstances beyond our control, it will be considered a no-show. In these cases, the travel service fee and applicable service charges will still apply.
This policy allows us to maintain availability for other patients who need care.
-
Our phlebotomists follow strict specimen collection and handling protocols to ensure quality and accuracy. However, in rare cases a specimen recollection may be required due to:
Laboratory rejection of the specimen
Improper patient preparation (such as not fasting when required)
Insufficient sample volume
Provider order changes
If recollection is required due to laboratory or provider requirements, an additional service appointment may need to be scheduled.
If recollection is required due to an error on our part, we will make every effort to schedule a prompt recollection at no additional service fee.
-
Payment for mobile phlebotomy services is due at the time of scheduling or at the time of service, depending on the appointment type.
Please note:
Mobile service fees are separate from laboratory testing fees.
Most insurance plans do not cover mobile phlebotomy travel fees.
Laboratory testing fees are billed directly by the laboratory.
We accept the following forms of payment:
Cash
Cash App
Zelle
Apple Pay
Pricing will always be communicated before the appointment is confirmed.
-
We proudly provide mobile phlebotomy services throughout our designated service area.
Appointments within our standard service radius include the base travel service fee. Locations outside of this area may require additional mileage charges based on distance and travel time.
For extended service areas:
Additional mileage fees may apply
Appointment availability may vary
Advance scheduling may be required
Please contact us to confirm availability if your location is outside our primary service region.
-
The safety of our patients and phlebotomy professionals is our highest priority. Our team reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if the environment is deemed unsafe or unsuitable for specimen collection.
Examples of unsafe conditions may include, but are not limited to:
Aggressive or unsecured animals
Threatening or disruptive behavior
Unsanitary or hazardous environments
Lack of adequate space or lighting to safely perform the procedure
If an appointment cannot be completed due to safety concerns, the visit may be terminated or rescheduled, and applicable service or travel fees may still apply.
Our phlebotomists follow strict professional and safety standards during every visit. Patients and household members are expected to treat staff with respect and cooperation throughout the appointment.
-
Patients under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present at the time of the appointment.
The parent or legal guardian must:
Provide verbal and written consent for the specimen collection
Present valid identification if requested
Remain present during the entire procedure
If a parent or legal guardian is not present at the time of the appointment, the phlebotomist will not be able to perform the blood draw, and the appointment may need to be rescheduled. Applicable service fees may still apply.
-
Our trained phlebotomy professionals make every effort to perform blood collection safely and successfully on the first attempt. However, some patients may have veins that are more difficult to access due to medical conditions, hydration levels, or other factors.
For patient safety, our phlebotomists will typically limit venipuncture attempts to two attempts per visit.
If a successful specimen collection cannot be obtained within this limit:
The procedure may be discontinued for the patient’s safety and comfort
The patient may be advised to reschedule or visit a laboratory or healthcare facility equipped for advanced collection techniques
The mobile service fee still applies for the visit, even if specimen collection cannot be completed.
Our goal is always to prioritize patient safety, comfort, and quality specimen collection.
-
Protecting patient privacy and maintaining the confidentiality of personal health information is a top priority for our organization. We are committed to complying with all applicable regulations under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Our privacy practices include:

Protecting electronic and physical records through appropriate security measures
We do not share, sell, or disclose patient information to unauthorized parties. Information is only shared with the appropriate healthcare providers, laboratories, or authorized entities necessary to complete laboratory testing and patient care.
Our team is trained to follow strict privacy protocols to ensure that every patient’s personal and medical information remains protected at all times.
